Critique Junction

Posted by C.J under Resources, webmaster resources

Well, a fan of this website had a critique about the critiquers.
Read her review below

We could all use a good critique and that’s what nurtured the concept of “Critique Junction” and in-turn the reason I am writing. So this is what I think about the website.
A captivating design, a perfect blend of colors and formatting certainly gives it a young, rich enthusiastic look. My best guess would be that the site is managed by a group of young enthusiasts who just love what they do. But the fact I see a period of hibernation and patches on inactivity makes it evident that they might still be amateurs making an attempt to pace up. Read the rest of this entry »

Managing Stress Now

Posted by C.J under Health & Fitness, Lifestyle

Managing stres now is a very well designed site which is focussing on getting the user just what the domain says, Managing stress NOW!
Though its a free template available, the webmaster has taken extra lengths to make sure that this website stands out. I know what you all must be wondering, is it all looks and no brains, believe me that all i was thinking when i went to their “understanding stress” section. I am happy to report that i am pleasantly surprised. Though many articles are unavailable (granted the website is new), but the ones that are there have tons of information. I personally enjoyed reading that. I have bookmarked it and will make sure i will read it in full later. Another great section is their tips and techniques section, though as with the previous section, this too has a lot of “coming soon” tags, the ones that are there are good.

Finance-Maker

Posted by C.J under Finance and Investing, Online Businesses and Entrepreneurs.

Finance Maker is a website aimed at students, working professionals and businessmen with a single aim (and with a motto) to ‘expand your wealth’.
On a first glance it seems yet another one of those auto blogs with tons of advertisements all over the place. But spending a little more time on this site, you’ll realize there exists a plethora of information.
However finding the right article you are looking for might prove a handful because of a lack of a functional search bar. Though one might argue that the information is well categorized which makes things a little easy.
There are good posts for the upcoming entrepreneur as well as some for the tried and failed ones (bankruptcy).
I like the business strategies section and there are quite a few interesting topics. Though reading few reminds me so much of Steve (Pavlina), very similar writing styles. Read the rest of this entry »

TalkPrice

Posted by C.J under Online Businesses and Entrepreneurs., Tutorials

Talk Price is a website started by 3 web enthusiasts and it deals with reviews of sites and products, comparisons of various products and software’s, articles and much more.
The first thing(and by no means good) you notice when you visit their website is a blank “468*60 ad spot”. Which after I probed into their about me and affiliate page boiled down to and I quote “We are currently staying away from advertisements”. Which in the internet world means, no one wants to buy that ad space. Either way, I requested them on information on the adspace and you might see Critique Junction, instead of 468*60 ad spot. The Critical Critics

Posted by C.J under Movies, Videos, TV and Cable

My perfect eyesight failed to skim through the homepage at once without a bit (!) of strain. But then I can’t complain, may be they just had too much information and a page/size limit to scoop into. It won’t hurt to make the side columns a bit more easy to glance through. Who likes to read tiny manuscripts anyway, even if they are not our course books.
Overall the content is pretty organized and seems updated. Gives you decent reviews and feedback. Something we all hope to get before we shed a few dollars going to the theaters. Read the rest of this entry »

Let Me Advise

Posted by C.J under Finance and Investing, Tutorials

?Let Me Advise? was a blog that I came across, which, despite being managed and run by a youngster, has a lot of maturity in it, with respect to the ways and means of marketing. In some cases, a level to which even adults might not normally think! Be it the experience or the expertise, the site portrays it all. It has a maximum number of articles under marketing, but there are a few other articles as well. Read the rest of this entry »

Stuff To Get

Posted by C.J under Computing, Resources, Tutorials, webmaster resources

Stuff to get I figured would be a site where the author would provide information on getting free stuff or interesting things to download or own. But after spending 5 minutes reading one post on the website I still can’t figure out what the blog is all about.
However on closer look (that means ignoring the weird post about St. Patricks day and some weird post names) I discovered a plethora of information about great softwares and general things to pass time when you are bored. I played a few flash games the author recommended and found them pretty decent. Read the rest of this entry »

Bodrag

Posted by C.J under Software

If you were looking for a simple everyday tools like a pdf converter or an office backup system then Bodrag would be the place for you. Though i must admit, I am skeptical about why, in this market of open source products and freely available tools, anyone would pay $40 for a PDF converter.
That being said there are a few products which one might need. Take for example their RAM booster software for $25. Offering some great features like multiple real time monitors and various optimization methods to lower your RAM usage.
Apart from English, most of the software is available in two or more languages including French and Portuguese. All the softwares are user friendly and they have very detailed video instruction as well. Read the rest of this entry »

Safe Weight Loss

Posted by C.J under Health & Fitness

With over 75% of Americans bordering the obese BMI values, this site has a large audience. with the obsession of losing weight and appearing attractive there would be tons of search engine traffic to this website. On first glance it looks clean and simple. With the apple on top signifying healthy food. The blog has hit the right nail by giving information on how artificial or fancy weight loss techniques don’t often work as they generally reduce only water content in the body and not the fat content.
